Welcome! My clients tell me I am warm, supportive and VERY PRACTICAL. My commitment to you is to listen deeply with respect and understanding, and to help empower you to live a life of love, meaning, connection and happiness.

Sandy Jardine, MS, LPC, psychotherapist, counselorI am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Certified Emotionally Focused Therapist and Certified EFT Supervisor (approved by the International Centre for Excellence in Emotionally Focused Therapy. I am also a workshop leader with 35 years’ experience working with individuals, couples and groups. I am experienced working with individuals and couples at all stages of life, including those who have different sexual orientations, cultural backgrounds and religious beliefs.

I received my Masters in Counseling from the University of Arizona, graduating with honors. Since then, I have trained extensively with the leading couples counseling experts in the United States and Canada. These include Drs. John and Julie Gottman, creators of Scientifically Based Marital Therapy and Drs. Ellyn Bader and Pete Pearson to learn their Developmental Couples Therapy.

With this training as a foundation, I now study with Dr. Sue Johnson and her associates. Dr. Johnson is the creator and leading practitioner of Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). I am designated as a Certified Emotionally Focused Therapist and Supervisor by the International Centre for Excellence in Emotionally Focused Therapy (www.ICEEFT.com). I am one of a handful of therapists in Arizona who has earned these designations. Additionally, I am one of the Founders of the Arizona Community for Emotionally Focused Therapy (www.AZEFT.com) and an affiliate of the Training & Research Institute for Emotionally Focused Therapy at Alliant International University. See What is EFT.

I am committed to working with couples and individuals at all stages of relationship—including dating, premarital, marital, divorce and post divorce. I also help individuals transform self defeating behaviors, reduce stress, learn to select an appropriate partner, resolve dating challenges, and cope with life transitions.

Along with my husband, Douglas, I have developed special skills helping individuals and couples deal with issues related to living with prostate cancer. Through our shared experience, I have learned a lot about the woman’s side of prostate cancer. It affects us differently but no less profoundly than men. I can help guide you through this challenging process, help you cope with the fear, and support you through the hurdles that arise.
