Meet Kristine

Kristine Hendricks, MA, LAC

I am a Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC) with a deep interest in research-validated therapies that are proven to reduce distress and increase satisfaction with yourself, your relationships, and to help you resolve problems.

Kristine Hendricks MAI am experienced working with individuals and couples. My strong academic background, combined with real-world experience, enables me to work with a wide range of concerns. These include relationship difficulties, premarital preparation, building a successful marriage, parenting (birth to adulthood), divorce recovery and effective parental cooperation after divorce. I am skilled in working with depression, anxiety, grief and loss, shame and guilt, self esteem, and various levels of trauma.

I have a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology (Marriage & Family Therapy) from Azusa Pacific University.  As an undergraduate, I earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration/Marketing from Arizona State University.

In addition to my training, I am the mother of four children, ages 12 to 24.  So I understand both the difficulties and rewards of parenting.  I have been through it all — pregnancy, infancy, schooling, intergenerational issues, staying at home, not staying at home, sending the kids off to college, and, for a while, parenting all by myself.  I have also taught preschool, been a ballet instructor and directed a summer school fine arts program.

I have worked with people of many faith traditions. But if it is specifically requested, I can also provide Christian-based counseling for those who are seeking it. Be assured that my practice, just like Sandy’s and Douglas’s, is inclusive and welcoming to individuals and couples of diverse backgrounds and lifestyles.

I am devoted to learning and developing my skills as an EFT couples therapist and am actively pursuing supervision and additional training to become a Certified Emotionally Focused Therapist.

For more information, contact Kristine at 480-442-7565.  I can answer your questions, provide a brief, free phone consultation, and set up an appointment.
